Liliana Correa: ‘Cuerpos’

Liliana Correa reading ‘Cuerpos’

Voluptuous cicatrices
Cut into the rocks
Of the women’s bath
Appearing on a summer’s day

My body
Amongst others
Time suspended

I follow the sound
Of a voice
Facing the ocean
Aged worrier
Saluting the sun

Like a child playing
With an imaginary friend
Taichiing the winds

To the untrained eye
She is just another crazy one!
Stranded loca sirena
Her face illuminated
With salty fairy dust

Bodies
Líquidos, sólidos
All shapes and sizes
Aroused or dormant
Full, scarred or small
Breasts of life and desire
Melting on rocks
Hips and torsos

Yemanya is colling
I let my body take me
To the edge of the pool
And let go
I am in and within
I am inside and outside

Blessed I float
Eyes opening to the clouds
I think of Alfonsina
Dejándose ir
No pain or sorrow
Just a body on another

Cuerpo sobre cuerpo
Soy mar.
